Showcase: IET on campus
The IET has many products and services that are of great value to the academic community. On campus there is a Student Ambassador and Advisor to offer advice and guidance to students. The IET also supports student society events through sponsorship and providing guest speakers.
Upgrade your membership
Final year student and apprentice members must remember to upgrade their membership.
On completing your course or apprenticeship you will be able to add those all important designatory letters to the end of your name.

Sheena Anker
British Gas, Technical Engineering Apprentice
"When I left college everyone else seemed to be going to university so I followed suit,” explains Sheena. “But I knew almost straight away it wasn’t for me. I wasn’t that into sitting at my desk and studying. I’ve always liked practical things, like sorting out a computer that’s not working or a toilet that doesn’t flush. I like to be the person who fixes things and gets feedback and appreciation for helping people."
